Day 1 Abu Dhabi

Well here we are in Abu Dhabi, the flight was long but uneventful, the seat/bed quite comfortable and a bit of a snooze was had.  Food was delicious, my steak was juicy and tender, Wazzy's gnocchi was flavoureful, light and fluffy.
On arrival we were met by a wonderful gentleman from the Ethiad meet and greet service who fast tracked us through immigration, then escorted us to the lounge where we had a coffee and carrot juice whilst he fetched our baggage.
He then escorted us to the waiting taxi, with a porter taking our luggage. I could get used to this big time!!!
The taxi driver brought us to the Hilton where the concierge handled our baggage and check in.  Our room is on the 10th floor and is really well appointed.
So today we are going to do a tour, after breakfast that is.

So here we are in the Etihad lounge drinking Arabic coffee and eating dates, also have a glass of wine in hand and choosing yummies from the buffet.  Does life get any better, I dont think so.

Not long to go

Well here it is, Saturday the 23rd July, just a week to go before we head off.  I've just watched a great video on packing a suitcase and I'm going to give the method a try.
I'll let you know if it works.
