Just a quick post, were having breakfast in the Etihad lounge at Abu Dhabi airport before flying to Dublin. I must say the Emerati people are friendly and very welcoming and Abu Dhabi is the cleanest city I have ever seen, also bloody hot, yes Cassie I understand how your sister felt!!
As you will all remember for the lasr 6 months I have been grandly saying if Warren gets sick I'm going alone.... well Wazzy now has his revenge. I've been stuffed up with this blasted flu bug the whole time we've been here. In fact Monday afternoon we got back from sightseeing and I went to bed at 4pm and didn't get up until 9am Tuesday, won't go into the gory details, just suffice it to say bloody hell!!!!
Anyway we had a god couple of days, toured the grand mosque (amazing) Emirates palace and several other landmarks.
Last night we did an evening desert tour, did some dune driving in a very comfortable 4wd, then diner and show in the desert. As it was Wazzy's birthday the tour guide had the belly dancer dance for him and then brought him up on the stage so everyone could sing happy birthday. I think what with the camel ride and everything it was a good birthday and made up for having a wife that sounds like a frog.
